Our Community:
The people of St. Bridget's welcome visitors to the Roe-Jan area. We hope you find our Church a prayerful place of peace and reflection and a place of vibrant worship. You are always welcome invited to join us. The Roman Catholic community in the Roe-Jan area traces its roots back to gatherings in homes in the 1860s. The first Church was built in 1867 as a mission church and was located on North Mountain Road in Copake Falls. Our present Church building, located on Rt. 22, just south of the village of Copake Falls, is the second house of worship for the Catholic community of the Roe-Jan area.  In 1958 we became a parish, and the present structure and complex was completed in 1959.  In 1981 the parish undertook a major building and renovation project, bringing our parish up to date with Vatican II liturgical reforms, and making St. Bridget's a unique and beautiful worship space.  St. Bridget's membership currently comprises over 300 households.  The parish family of St. Bridget's has a tradition of hospitality to visitors to the beautiful Roe-Jan area.                      See our original parish building.
